Life's a Beach

Happy Friday everyone! This week has flown by for me and I haven't nearly gotten all the things done that I had planned at this point.  So I know it's going to be a busy day.  Showing this wonderful new collection of digis at StampFairy is a good start to any day but especially today.  Isn't Molly adorable in her new swimsuit?  This new collection is called Molly Beach and they are too cute for words!

I think Gerda has captured the perfect images of a child's life on a beach in her new collection.  And look at that wonderful freebie sun image - perfect to complete the sunny beach theme.

I did a little paper piecing on Molly's swimsuit here with papers from Jillibean Soup "Watermelon Gazpacho Soup" collection.  The rest of the image was colored with Copic markers.
I followed this terrific layout from Tuesday Morning Sketches and I love the look you get with it.  I'll be using this one again and again.  It was perfect for the Molly Beach image with the long rectangle panel. I'm playing in their challenge again.

So that's it for today and I hope I've left you with a sunny outlook for the day with this bit of inspiration.  And speaking of inspiration, the StampFairies have a wonderful and super creative selection of samples with the new collection at StampFairy World.  Hop on over and take a look!

Rockin' at Inky Impressions

Welcome back to another "rockin" post here! This is my last card as an Inkette for Inky Impressions rubber stamps and I'll miss the gals there and Nicole the creator of the wonderful stamps. I have enjoyed my time on the team and absolutely love Inky Impressions rubber stamps!  You ladies ROCK!

Today kicks off another fun challenge at Inky Impressions Challenges.  This week it's "Anything Goes" so I know we'll get lots of fabulous creative entries. Why don't you play along too?!

The challenge this week is sponsored by The Twinery and one lucky winner will receive a Sampler package of twine - another great reason to play along!

This adorable Inky Impressions stamp is called "Rock N' Roll Donnie". It's the perfect image for a teenage boy (or girl for that matter) card. It was colored with Copic markers and I chose these terrific "Rock Star" papers from Best Creation Inc. to match the theme. And the wonderful twine here is from The Twinery of course!

Check out the amazing creations from the rest of the Inkettes over at the Inky Impressions Challenges blog - some fabulous inspiration to get you started today!

All About Bugs

Happy Wednesday! It's all about bugs today - bugs all over the place here! Bugs on my card, Bugaboo Stamps and Bugaboo as a sponsor for this week's challenge at Sweet Sketch Wednesday! All these bugs are making me itch - itching to show you the new sketch and my card!

Here we go with this fantastic sketch by Arlana for this week. Isn't this a great one? I love the three strips across the card with the added panel behind.

Bugaboo is our sponsor this week and who doesn't just love their digi stamps?!! One lucky person who is our Grand Prize winner will receive 7 digi stamps of their choice from Bugaboo. A very generous prize and our thanks to Jodi at Bugaboo for her sponsorship of Sweet Sketch Wednesday this week.

I chose this fun Bugaboo image called "Deacon Bugs" for my card and it's perfect for boy cards. What boy isn't enthralled with bugs? Actually my daughter when she was young was more into bugs than my son - she was totally fascinated with them. There is an Ava Bugs image at Bugaboo for the girls too if you have a girl like mine!  The image was colored with Copic markers and the papers are digital from a scrapbook kit I finally found at Scrap Orchard called Bug Collectin' - I love the fun bug paper and I think it's perfect with this image. The bug embellishment is from the kit - all I did was print it and cut it out.

Our Sweet Sketch Wednesday designers always do a fab job with Bugaboo images - hop on over to the Sweet Sketch Wednesday blog to see what they've created this week. Lot's of inspiration for you there and I hope enough to get you to play along in the challenge this week!

Time For Tea

Welcome back to my second post today and the kick off of another new challenge with Inky Impressions rubber stamps.  The Inky Impressions Challenge theme is Happy Birthday and we all have fun creating those kind of cards!

This week we're so pleased to have Nitwit Collections as the sponsor of the Inky Impressions Challenge. Nitwit Collections has such a terrific selection of digital scrapbook kits, digital papers and card making supplies. The winner of the challenge will receive a gift certificate to use at Nitwit Collections.

Some very creative things are available at Nitwit Collections like this pretty scrapbook kit I used to create my card today for the Inky challenge.  It's called "Time for Tea" and is new.  I was so taken with the colors and beautiful flower papers.  I used several of the digital papers from this kit, a teacup image, button and label.  The dear stamped image is Inky Impressions' "Angelica's Heart Socks" - it was colored with Copics, cut out and perched on the edge of the circle panel like she's just hanging there.

This terrific sketch at Sketches by Carly was the inspiration for the layout of my card.  I am always amazed at these wonderful sketches that Carly draws up. This one is especially creative and unique.

You'll want to play in the Inky Impressions Challenge for a chance to win one of these fab digi kits from Nitwit's. Hop on over to the challenge blog and see all the terrific inspiration from the Inkettes.

Getting a Driver's License

Happy Wednesday everyone! We have a new sketch challenge for you at Sweet Sketch Wednesday today and I'm so excited about my cards I'm showcasing.

You see, my son just got his driver license and all his friends are getting them too. Way too many young guys on the road in our neighborhoods here I say, but they are excited about it and it is a milestone for them.  I found this perfect image at Digi Stamp Boutique, our sponsor this week at SSW, and it's just exactly what I needed for a few congrats cards for these boys.

Before I get into my card details, here's the new sketch to follow for our challenge this week.  Another go-together-quick type of sketch with terrific results!
I'm not surprised I found the perfect image for our new drivers at Digi Stamp Boutique - after all they have such an amazing selection of digis.  We're so lucky to have them as our monthly sponsor.  A generous prize of six digital images from Digi Stamp Boutique will go to the Grand Prize winner of the challenge this week.

This digi stamp from DSB is called "Henry Driving" and was colored with Copic markers on both cards.  I specifically shopped my local scrapbook store for the just-right papers to go with the driving theme. On this card the papers are from Doodlebug Designs' "Boys Only" collection.

Here, the papers are Bo Bunny's "On the Go" series.  On both cards my embellishments from the sketch are actual keys! I picked these up at Home Depot and was so lucky to find ones in the perfect colors to coordinate with my papers.  I tell ya the creativity moons were aligned so properly for this!  Well the cards are a bit hit so far and now I have more to make to meet the expectations of all the rest of them getting their licenses in the coming months!

Now take a minute and pop on over to Sweet Sketch Wednesday and see all the other creative cards that the design Divas made this week to inspire you.  And, why don't you have some fun and play along with us this week too? Looking forward to seeing what you create!

Barry's Gone Fishing!

Isn't this just the cutest image?  We have a new collection of digis today at StampFairy and they are my favorites of all time.  So perfect for the guys and this one is for my brother who is a fishing freak!

The collection is called Barry Fishing and features everyone's favorite teddy.  I love the one where he's holding the worm! And look at the perfect freebie sentiment ticket that goes along with this set.

This adorable image was brought to life with Copic markers. The papers are a terrific find - Hooked on Fishing from The Paper Loft.

I followed this fab sketch at Tuesday Morning Sketches. I love that you can use a bunch of fun papers with this design. I'm playing in their challenge this week with my Barry Fishing card.

The StampFairies created an amazing selection of eye candy and inspiration using this new set.  Pop on over to StampFairy World and see their cards - you won't want to miss it.

Handmade Embellishments at Inky

Welcome back bloggers and Inky Impressions fans! We have a fun challenge starting today at the Inky Impressions Challenges blog. This week we want to see all of your handmade embellishments so put your creativity hat on and join us!

I decided to get out my crochet hook again and crochet flowers as my handmade embellishments. I am a total amateur at this so don't laugh at how they look!!! But it was fun to create these and see how they actually look like flowers - amazing luck on my part!  I used Lili's Stuffed Bunny rubber stamp from Inky Impressions and colored her with Copics. These Inky Impressions rubber stamps are so detailed and ink up beautifully. And every one of the images makes for an adorable card.  The fun papers are from Bo Bunny.

Challenges that I'm entering my card in this week are:

Color Me Creative - Spring Pretties Challenge 40
Raise The Bar - Cutesy Easter and Spring Cards
Twisted Tuesday Challenges - I Never Promised You a Rose Garden
Truly Madly Crafty Challenges - Handmade Flowers

For more inspiration, pop on over to Inky Impressions Challenges and see all the wonderful creativity from the Inkettes there.  Your eyes will have a feast!
