Mimi Winter

We have a terrific new release at StampFairy featuring our sweet little Mimi playing with the winter snowflakes. She's such a darling character - sure to charm any card she's on!  This collection is great for those holiday cards or other winter occasions like birthdays.

Here's the full Mimi Winter collection and they are all so darn cute don't you think?! I especially love that snowman Mimi is hanging out with!  The snowballs are today's freebie and with a little photoshopping would make a wonderful background for any of these or other StampFairy winter images.

I decided to go all blue on this one and I like the cool wintery effect of that.  The image was colored with Copics and a lot of glitter and Stickles were added along with a glitter gel pen on the image snowflakes. The papers are MME's Moments series.

My layout was inspired by this absolutely fantastic sketch at Sketches By Carly. I love all the stacked layers which lends to the combination of patterns here that adds such interest to the card.  I will be using this one again!  Thanks Carly for such great inspiration!

There are some really fabulous samples created by the StampFairies this week using the new Mimi Winter images.  Stop on over to StampFairy World and check them out.

A Card With Attitude

It's time for a new challenge at Sweet Sketch Wednesday today and we have a terrific sketch for you to play with and a fun theme to follow this week:  Celebrating Women.  We're featuring women in our images from the fun, whimsical digis at Deidre Mosher Designs and we'd like you to use images of women too when you play along.

I love how this sketch that Arlana created plays out on a card - three layers and a spot for a really stand-out embellishment.

Deidre Mosher Designs is our sponsor this week and I love those sassy and unique images that Deidre creates.  The Grand Prize winner of the Sweet Sketch Wednesday challenge this week will receive a $10 gift certificate to Deidre Mosher's online Etsy store.  A very generous prize that I know you'll enjoy!  Thanks Deidre for your sponsorship!

I selected this Deidre Mosher image called "Couple With Attitude" and think it's just the perfect one for anniversary cards. It was colored with Copics and the papers are from MME Tangerine collection.  I made the flower embellishment by twisting satin ribbon in a spiral onto sticky adhesive paper that I cut with a circle punch. I really like the look of this handmade flower technique.

You just have to see the fabulous cards that the design team made with other Deidre Mosher images of women. Pop on over to Sweet Sketch Wednesday for the inspiration and then join us in the challenge this week. We love to see what our participants and followers create with our sketches!

Busy Little Toby

Happy Friday everyone! Today's new release of digi images at StampFairy features that cute little teddy bear called Toby.  It's been a while since Toby made an appearance and he's one of my favorites with his sweet, innocent face.

Toby Busy Winter is the name of this new collection and it looks like he's having a lot of winter fun in the snow.  The cute little shovel is today's freebie at StampFairy.

Toby was brought to life with Copic markers, lots of stickles to enhance the snow and image panel, and some crystal lacquer for his nose.  The papers are from Recollections pad that I had in my stash from last year and they have a lot of shimmer and sparkly goodness on them too.

Today's layout was inspired by this terrific sketch at Tuesday Morning Sketches - one of my favorite go to places for sketches and challenge fun! I'm entering my card in this week's challenge there.

So there you have it - another Christmas card ready for sending when the time comes. Come visit us over at StampFairy World for more inspiration created especially for you by the StampFairies.  And you'll also want to note that our Anniversary Sale is still on through the end of this month - all StampFairy images are 50% off  - so it's a great time to stock up on your favorites digis.

Murphy Christmas Stocking

Welcome back! Can you believe it's already midweek? That means it's the start of another sketch challenge at Sweet Sketch Wednesday and you will love this fun and simple design.

Arlana does such a great job with these sketches! This may look simple but it makes for a terrific card with the layers and integrated embellishment.  I just love how it looks and this will be my new go-to layout for rectangle images.

Digi Stamp Boutique is our sponsor this week and we appreciate the incredible support from Sally Ann each month here at Sweet Sketch Wednesday.  The Grand Prize winner of the challenge this week will receive six digi images from Digi Stamp Boutique - a very generous prize!

For my card  I chose this darling Murphy dog all caught up in his Christmas stocking.  I love the sweet face of this cutie and he was brought to life with Copic markers, lots of stickles, glitter gel pen and of course some terrific papers from KaiserKraft that were in my stash.  The ornament embellishments were cut out of one of the papers in the pad.

The design team has used a whole variety of digis from Digi Stamp Boutique to inspire you this week. Just head over to Sweet Sketch Wednesday and take a peek then join us in the challenge.  We love to see what you do with the sketches week after week.

Monkeying Around

Well I'm just monkeying around day today with this fun and adorable image released earlier this month at Doodle Pantry.  He looks like such a happy chap hanging there taking it all in!  This set is called Mister Monkey and the best part is that it is FREE!  Yep, everyone that participates in this month's challenge at the Doodle Pantry Blog will get this cute monkey set.

To play along in the challenge, just create a card using a Doodle Pantry image and you're good to go!  Mister Monkey will be yours and we'll get a little inspiration from your creativity.  Such a deal!  But you'll have to hurry - the challenge closes on September 24th. After that, he'll be available for purchase at the Doodle Pantry Store.

Mister Monkey was colored with Copics and then paired with Basic Grey's Lauderdale papers that I was hoarding in my stash.  Love these bright, fun colors! The yellow ribbon is seam binding that I twisted to look like cording.

I was inspired by this layout at the Friday Sketch Challenge.  I adjusted it for a 5.5-inch square card and either way it's a terrific sketch.  I'm entering my card in their challenge this week.

Well there you have it - a fun way to start the day and get inspired to play in our Doodle Pantry Challenge.  Hope to see you over there.

Hot Rod Pickup

Surprise!  We have a mini-release of new digi stamp collections today at Doodle Pantry!  Yes, a little treat for all of you fans and you'll love every one of them!

I chose this terrific image from the Hot Rod Pickup collection released today.  It's a great digi for men's cards - especially those that love those classic cars and trucks.  The collection comes with the black outline images and several sentiments.  I printed it on kraft cardstock and colored it with Copic markers - I love the rustic look that was achieved.

I was inspired by this layout at Sketch N Stash challenges and rotated the sketch to fit my image.  You have to use old or new items from your stash and mine are old - the rhinestone brads, the papers from MME that I've had for about a year and the seam binding ribbon not used very often.  And of course one new thing which is the Doodle Pantry digi!

There are six new collections today at Doodle Pantry including a scarecrow (so cute and perfect for your Fall cards) and a new template for a project.  Check them out at the Doodle Pantry Store and see the terrific samples the Creative Team made to inspire you.

Ginger Baby Hoola Hoops

Happy Friday everyone! Isn't this just the cutest little gingerbread baby?  It's new at StampFairy and part of a collection of cuties just released today. Such a fun image to adorn your holiday cards - perhaps with a gift of handmade gingerbread cookies?

Here's the full collection called Gingerbread Babies Hoola Hoops.  It's just the "sweetest" collection!  The Ho Ho Ho Hoola Hoop is today's freebie at StampFairy.

I brought this dear Ginger Baby to life with Copic markers and little crystal effects to add dimension to the icing on his legs, arms, head and tummy. The image was cut out and placed on a doily - because a proper gingerbread cookie would be served on one, right?!  The papers are MME 12 Days of Christmas from last year and I love these bright fun holiday colors.

The StampFairies created a lot of great projects with our Ginger Baby today and you can see them at our blog StampFairy World.  And a reminder for you StampFairy fans that Gerda is having a sale on everything in the StampFairy Shop - 50% off - so stock up now!

Thinking of You

Happy Wednesday fans and followers! Well, we're off to a good start in high school - we had our open house this week and met the teachers and got a download on the coursework. I just love the enthusiasm of my kids' teachers and passion for the subjects they're teaching. Now the second week, the homework is kicking in and keeping us all busy!

We're kicking off a new sketch challenge today at Sweet Sketch Wednesday with Pattie's Creations as our sponsor this week.  I hope you can find some time to join us and play along!

Here's the wonderful sketch created by Arlana. It's a blast from the past sketch - one of our favorites brought back from Week 103 - and it makes an interesting card whether you take a whimsical approach or something more vintage looking like I created this week.

Here's the card I created with this sketch in Week 103 - just showing how it looks with clean lines and a more whimsical image.

Pattie Gomez at Pattie's Creations is our generous sponsor this week at Sweet Sketch Wednesday.  The Grand Prize winner of the challenge will receive three digis from Pattie's Creations. Check out Pattie's Etsy Store here and her blog here.  Thanks for your sponsorship Pattie!

I chose this gorgeous digi from Pattie's Creations called "Thinking of You".  There's nothing that conveys the warm, golden days of late summer/early fall better than sunflowers.  The image was colored with Copic markers, a little crystal effects added to parts of the butterfly so it would stand out more, a few Spellbinders die cuts and papers from MME Nutmeg collection were used.

Our design team has created some beautiful cards using this and other images from Pattie's Creations to inspire you.  Check them out over at Sweet Sketch Wednesday and then join us in the challenge this week!
