Hopping Down the Bunny Trail

Hoppy Tuesday everyone!  I wanted to show off this terrific Doodle Pantry image and digi papers today - in time for making those Easter cards.  This wonderful digi set called Quirky Bunny was just released at Doodle Pantry.  The thing is you can't buy it just yet because it's FREE for anyone that participates in the Doodle Pantry Digital Challenge this month!

This little wabbit is so cute don't you think?  I used the outlines version of the image which was colored with Copics.  The set contains both pre-colored images and outlines, plus the eggs and carrot images I'm featuring as part of this card design.  Unbelievable that it's free for just playing along in the Doodle Pantry Challenge.

I'm joining in on The Sweet Stop sketch challenge with my Quirky Bunny card.  You know how you find a sketch and all the fireworks of creativity just start shooting off in your head? Well that's what happened with this terrific sketch!  I thought the eggs and carrots were the perfect embellishment given this sketch.

I also just wanted to mention that the papers used here are all digital from Doodle Pantry as well.  The carrot and flower papers come with the Quirky Bunny collection and the egg paper is part of the new Easter Paper Pack.

Easter Barry - StampFairy

Oh thank goodness it's Friday and welcome.  Today is my StampFairy day - showing the new release of our Easter digis featuring our adorable Barry.

Here's the collection released today. How can you resist these wonderful digis?!  And isn't that freebie terrific?  This new StampFairy release is called Barry Easter1.

Barry was brought to life with Copic markers, a little crystal lacquer added to the paint on the egg, brush and paint can as well as his fun nose.  The digital papers used here are from Shery K Designs.

I used this fab sketch from Sketches by Carly. I am always inspired by the sketches there - and when I'm inspired, the card goes together fast with pleasing results.  Thanks for the inspiration Carly!

StampFairy at Sweet Sketch Wednesday!

Welcome back to my blog today!  It's Wednesday and that means a fabulous new sketch at Sweet Sketch Wednesday.  We also have the wonderful StampFairy sponsoring us this week and you know how I love that!

Here the sketch for the challenge this week.  Each month we highlight a favorite sketch from the past - bring it back to use again - and this week it's sketch 43 that returns.  I like this sketch, as I do all of Arlana's designs, especially for the larger areas so bolder paper patterns can be used.

Barry Birthday Numbers

It's time for the Friday release at StampFairy and we have everyone's favorite Barry back today.  This time he's sporting his birthday numbers in a new collection just perfect for birthdays.

Introducing Barry Numbers....I just think this collection is so fun. The images can be used singularly or in combination for a fun way to personalize your birthday cards to the age of the honoree!

I've used the number one Barry image on my card - I think this makes a fun invitation to a baby boy's first birthday party.  Lots of possibilities with this terrific collection.  Barry was colored with Copics and the papers used are Basic Grey Life of the Party.

Another Inky Day!

Happy Friday fans and followers. I wanted to share a card I made for Inky Impressions that was for the Inky Inspirations Blog.  The focus of my post there is on using lots of layers in your card making. You all know how I love layers and this one is a good example.  Eight layers on this one, three layers on just the ribbon alone. And even the flower embellishment is layered!

I used Inky Impressions' Chatterbox Lili and colored her with Copic markers. I had the fun phone papers already in my stash and don't they coordinate perfectly with this dear Lili?!

Once again this fabulous sketch from Seems A Little Sketchy was my inspiration.  I adore this sketch - probably because of all the layers - ya think?!!  It's also a fun sketch for mixing a bunch of patterned papers which is also what I tried to achieve on my card.

New Releases at Doodle Pantry

Welcome and happy March! I can't believe how fast the first two months of the year have passed by. Pretty soon it will be Spring - yay!

Well I can think of no better way to welcome in March than a new Doodle Pantry release! I have two cards today showing two of the new digi sets that I think you're going to love.

This is the first new set called English Bluebells. I just love Laurie's illustration of these beautiful flowers. Very lifelike don't you think?  The set comes with a pre-colored image, black and white outlines (which is what I used here with Copic markers), six sentiments and two digi papers. And the best news about this wonderful set is that it is free with any purchase in the Doodle Pantry Store through March 24.

The second release is just so lovely and dear to my heart. I played the violin in my school days and loved being part of an orchestra in high school. I still have my violin and this new collection inspires me to get it out and play again!

The new Violin collection at Doodle Pantry contains the black outline image shown here (colored with Copics) along with six sentiments.

The layout for my violin card was inspired by the sketch at Seems A Little Sketchy. I love all the layers and elements of it.

I flipped the sketch counterclockwise to better fit the orientation of the violin image. I'm entering my violin card in the Seems A Little Sketchy challenge this week.

This Doodle Pantry image is so darn cute!  This is Cowboy Birdie and I just love his cowboy boots and hat. This collection comes with a pre-colored image and outline image that I used here and colored myself with Copic markers. I also used the coordinating Western Digi Papers that are available in the Doodle Pantry store which are so perfect with this sketch.

This adorable Apple Snack image is one of my favorites.  Laurie just released the pre-colored version of this digi earlier this month.  It also comes with sentiments and an outline image which I used and colored with Copics.  I just love how this adorable caterpillar is enjoying his apple snack! The apple background paper used here comes in the digi package and I love the color combination.  This one was super fun to color!

Inky Impressions Challenge

It's a new challenge today at Inky Impressions and I'm showing off our Marlee character today in this Good Luck card for a friend.  The challenge theme is just that - create a Good Luck card! Visit the Inky Impressions Challenge Blog for all the details to play.

I created my card using Inky Impressions' Winter Fashion Marlee rubber stamp.  I think she's so cute in her pink and blue fashion outfit! She was colored with Copics and cut out to perch on the edge of the panel in this great sketch I used from Tuesday Morning Sketches.

I just love this Tuesday Morning Sketches layout this week - instantly inspired to create with it.  I rotated the sketch on my card to better fit the Marlee image I was using.
