Hot Rod Pickup

Surprise!  We have a mini-release of new digi stamp collections today at Doodle Pantry!  Yes, a little treat for all of you fans and you'll love every one of them!

I chose this terrific image from the Hot Rod Pickup collection released today.  It's a great digi for men's cards - especially those that love those classic cars and trucks.  The collection comes with the black outline images and several sentiments.  I printed it on kraft cardstock and colored it with Copic markers - I love the rustic look that was achieved.

I was inspired by this layout at Sketch N Stash challenges and rotated the sketch to fit my image.  You have to use old or new items from your stash and mine are old - the rhinestone brads, the papers from MME that I've had for about a year and the seam binding ribbon not used very often.  And of course one new thing which is the Doodle Pantry digi!

Ginger Baby Hoola Hoops

Happy Friday everyone! Isn't this just the cutest little gingerbread baby?  It's new at StampFairy and part of a collection of cuties just released today. Such a fun image to adorn your holiday cards - perhaps with a gift of handmade gingerbread cookies?

Here's the full collection called Gingerbread Babies Hoola Hoops.  It's just the "sweetest" collection!  The Ho Ho Ho Hoola Hoop is today's freebie at StampFairy.

I brought this dear Ginger Baby to life with Copic markers and little crystal effects to add dimension to the icing on his legs, arms, head and tummy. The image was cut out and placed on a doily - because a proper gingerbread cookie would be served on one, right?!  The papers are MME 12 Days of Christmas from last year and I love these bright fun holiday colors.

Thinking of You

Happy Wednesday fans and followers! Well, we're off to a good start in high school - we had our open house this week and met the teachers and got a download on the coursework. I just love the enthusiasm of my kids' teachers and passion for the subjects they're teaching. Now the second week, the homework is kicking in and keeping us all busy!

I chose this gorgeous digi from Pattie's Creations called "Thinking of You".  There's nothing that conveys the warm, golden days of late summer/early fall better than sunflowers.  The image was colored with Copic markers, a little crystal effects added to parts of the butterfly so it would stand out more, a few Spellbinders die cuts and papers from MME Nutmeg collection were used.

Fall Time

I'm back with another wonderful StampFairy card - this time featuring today's new release images with the character Mimi.  Isn't she cute being blown around in the Fall winds?!

I paper pieced Mimi's dress and colored her up with Copic markers. The papers are from Bo Bunny's Apple Cider collection.

Isn't this a terrific sketch?  When I saw it over at The Sketchy Challenges I was so inspired to use it, especially looking at their design team samples - WOW!  So I'm playing in their challenge this week with this card.

King For A Day

We're kicking off another challenge week at Sweet Sketch Wednesday today with a terrific sketch and a sponsor that is everyone's favorite - StampFairy.  Can you believe we're in the month of September? The summer just seemed to fly by and now the kids are back in school.

And speaking of the kids - here they are on their first day back! They're both in high school this year and I just don't know how that happened so fast. It seems like yesterday that I was bawling as I put Nick on the bus for his first day of Kindergarten.  They both had a good day, like their teachers and had plenty of homework to keep them busy last night.

Now here's the sketch this week that Arlana created.  It provides such a nice clean look. It's a perfect sketch for the guy cards too when you replace the "flowers" with something like buttons as I did on my card this week.  I hope you'll give it a try and join us in the fun!

I just couldn't resist creating my challenge card with this adorable lion from StampFairy.  His name is appropriately Lionel and just cracks me up with that big old chicken leg he's eating here.  I brought this ferocious lion to life with Copic markers, added a bit of crystal lacquer to his nose and some glitter gel pen to sparkle up his crown.

Nature Calls

Now isn't this funniest stamp?! It's one of the new releases this month at Doodle Pantry and it just tickles me. Think of the some of the sentiments you could use with this one and wouldn't everyone have fun getting a card with this picture on it!  It's called "Nature Calls" - isn't that the truth!

The Nature Calls collection comes with several pre-colored digis and black outline images as I used here and colored with Copic markers.  The sentiment I used is part of the set and so are both the digi papers I also incorporated in my card today.  The layout is my own design.

I love the toilet paper background digi paper - how cute is that to go with this hysterical image.  This card is sure to brighten anyone's day with a chuckle or two.

Li'l Cowkids at Doodle Pantry

Yee-Haw! It's a rootin' tootin' Saturday in a long holiday weekend and what better way to kick it off than a new release at Doodle Pantry! There's a ton of new digi stamp collections being featured today and this is one of them from the Li'l Cowkids set.

Western theme images are perfect for those guy cards and this one is no exception.  In the new Li'l Cowkids collection you get four different images in both black outline and precolored versions plus coordinating digital papers and sentiments.  The images include cowgirls as well as cowboys.  Today's card uses one of the black outline images colored with Copic markers.

My layout was inspired by this terrific sketch from Sketches By Carly and I'm playing this challenge with my card today.  This is a good sketch for the guys too because it doesn't have all the frilly embellishments but is still interesting with its layers.

Winter Wishes

This is the first of two posts today - I took yesterday "off" because it was my birthday!  This one features an adorable new winter-themed release from StampFairy with that cute and cuddly Barry bear.

This collection of Barry Winter images is just terrific.  He's just the cutest thing and makes for some fun Christmas cards.  The sentiment on my card is the freebie today.

I like this particular image from the collection because it's just perfect for paper piecing as I did here with the digital papers from Lily Bimble's Christmas Pixie pack.  The rest of the image was colored with Copic markers.

The inspiration for my layout is from Tuesday Morning Sketches and their current sketch challenge that I'm entering this card in.
