Happy Wednesday everyone! I can tell you I'm really happy because I'm on vacation right now in sunny Florida and enjoying every minute of the warm balmy temperatures :) Just so you know, I'm trying to gather as much sunshine as I can so I can share it with all of you in colder climates when I return this weekend! But until then, you'll have to do with the bit of sunshine in this card that I'm posting for the Sweet Sketch Wednesday team featuring this adorable Digi Stamp Characters image.
Heather Ellis, owner of Digi Stamp Characters is the sponsor of this week's sketch challenge and we're so thrilled to be able to create with her images. The one I'm featuring today is from the Pure Innocence collection of digis #033. Isn't it just the sweetest thing and so perfect for Spring and Easter. Heather will so generously be providing the Grand Prize winner of the challenge with three free digi images. Thanks Heather! All you have to do is create a card using this week's sketch and leave a comment on the Sweet Sketch Wednesday blog and you might find yourself being the winner of this great prize.
And here's the wonderful sketch for this week's challenge, SSW96. I loved the sweet simplicity of this sketch. It's a great design and you'll find it goes together pretty quickly but has enough detail that it provides for an interesting background for many images.
I colored this adorable image with Copics and cut out and popped up the little chick for dimension. I positioned him in such a way that the Pure Innocence girl appears to be looking right at the dear chick. The papers are My Mind's Eye "Stella and Rose" collection. Some lace and a coordinating embellishment and the card is complete.
Now pop on over to the Sweet Sketch Wednesday blog and see the gorgeous creations from the rest of the design team using sweet images from Digi Stamp Characters. I hope you'll join the challenge this week too.
Thanks for stopping by!

Hello Sharon, I'm so glad you get to enjoy some warm, warm sunshine! While I have been in Utah we have had snow at least 4 times....one morning we had 5 inches. I just adore this sweet image! I also love how you positioned your little chick for her to see! Your coloring is fabulous as always and I love your papers too....picked up a bunch of Stella Rose at the Expo.
