Lady Bugs and Crabs!

Happy Wednesday friends!  I'm starting the countdown to a two week vacation now and looking forward to the time off work and little more time crafting. The first order of the day will be cleaning my craft room and getting reorganized - can you believe I'm looking forward to that?!!

Today we have a new challenge starting at Sweet Sketch Wednesday with everyone's favorite digi stamp company as sponsor - Bugaboo!  I've created a couple cards today for your inspiration.

Let's get started with the terrific sketch created by Arlana. This sketch makes a wonderful card. It gives you an opportunity to use several designer papers and fun embellishments.  I hope you'll give it a try and join us in the Sweet Sketch Wednesday challenge this week.

Bugaboo is our sponsor this week and I know there are a lot of crafters out there that love their fun, whimsical images as much as I do.

The Grand Prize winner of the Sweet Sketch Wednesday challenge will receive 7 free digis from Bugaboo.  A fab prize and a very generous one from Jodi - thanks Jodi!

This adorable Bugaboo digi is Lady Bug Flower Pot. This little lady was colored with Copics and some crystal lacquer added on her spots, antenna and nose. She looks so sweet with the warm colors of the card.

And this image, called Crab Boat, just makes you smile! This is a perfect image for a guy card.  The sailboat sails were paper pieced, crystal lacquer added to the crabs eyes to make them stand out and some puffy stickles added on the waves and cloud.  The embellishments were created with circle punches and the DP I used.

I hope these fun samples have provided you a little inspiration to start your Wednesday. Stroll on over to Sweet Sketch Wednesday and check out the rest of the Diva's creations - there such a fun selection today to inspire you further.

Hey there StampFairy fans and followers! We have such a sweet new release this week featuring Barry bear as an angel and we're so "over the moon" with this one.

It's called Barry Over The Moon and it's just a perfect digi for a new baby card, a baby birthday or shower card.

This sweet Barry was colored with Copics and little stardust added to his wings and crystal lacquer to his nose.  The papers are Happily Lost by Lily Bee Designs.

I followed this terrific sketch at Tuesday Morning Sketches - it was just perfect for this image!  I'm entering their challenge this week.

Grilling Genius!

Happy Wednesday friends!  We have a terrific new sketch this week at Sweet Sketch Wednesday and I just couldn't wait to use it for my Father's Day card this year for the kids to use.  My hubby is the one that grilles everything and his favorite, I swear, are hotdogs! What a perfect image for him - right?!

Here's the sketch to follow - it's a fun one and whips together pretty quickly.  It was perfect for using the D-A-D letters and would be just as wonderful with flowers or any other embellishments that match your theme. I hope you'll give it a try and join in the fun at Sweet Sketch Wednesday this week.

Digi Stamp Boutique is our monthly sponsor and the Grand Prize winner of the challenge will receive six digi stamps of their choice from Digi Stamp Boutique.  A super generous prize Sally-Anne and thank you!

This fun image is called BBQ Alf and would be perfect for any guy you know that's a grilling genius!  Alf was colored with Copics here and a little sponging done around the edge of the oval panel.  The papers are "Vintage T" from WR Memory Keepers.

Pop on over to Sweet Sketch Wednesday and see the delighful cards that the Divas made with Digi Stamp Boutique images - great inspiration there!  Until next week...

Some Days You're The Dog

Happy Friday friends and followers! I'm glad the week is coming to a close.  It's been a particularly hectic one and I think this card just sort of sums it up!  This is the new release today at StampFairy - a new character called Charlie and I just think this little doggy is adorable!  I hope you do too!

http://www.stampfairy.com/digistamps_critters_charliehappylife.htm
Here's the new collection of digis "Charlie Happy Life" and I sure think this guy would make anyone happy!

Charlie was colored with Copics and cut out. The sentiment I had seen before and generated it myself on the computer.  The fun fire hydrant is just a bunch of punches - corner, key tag, mini window and circle - all from Stampin' Up.  And a bunch of sponging to define all the edges.  Quite simply really.

This week's sampling from the StampFairies is just amazing using the new Charlie images.  Stop on over to StampFairy World and take a look - sure to inspire you.

Bubbles

Happy Wednesday friends! This week is blowing by so fast - already midweek and still so much to get done before the weekend. My daughter is celebrating her last day of middle school today - talk about blowing by fast, I just can't believe my baby will be in high school next year!

Today starts off a new challenge at Sweet Sketch Wednesday and we have a terrific sketch this week that is fun to use.

This is one that we introduced in week 45 - a favorite of ours that we're bringing back again for the challenge this week. I just love all the circle layers and how it works so well with the image I chose from Digi Stamp Characters, our sponsor this week.

The lucky Grand Prize winner of the sketch challenge this week will receive three images of their choice from Digi Stamp Characters and their creator Heather Ellis.  There are so many sweet, adorable images available at Digi Stamp Characters - take a look around and see the wonderful selection.  Thank you Heather for your generous sponsorship this week!

I chose this darling image from Digi Stamp Characters, called Mouse in the House, to create with. I just loved this sweet mouse in all her bubbles - after all, a bubble bath is loads of fun! She was colored with Copics and some crystal lacquer added to the bubbles for shine and dimension. I choose the papers to go with the bubble theme - the background paper looked like a bunch of bubbles and is "Out of Print" by Basic Grey and the others from my stash.

I hope you find some time to join in on the sketch challenge at Sweet Sketch Wednesday. Stop on over and get a little inspiration from the creations that my team mates are showcasing with Digi Stamp Character images. Lots of wonderful cards to gaze at.

USA Birdie

Hi everyone! Today I'm showcasing one of June's new releases at Doodle Pantry that is perfect for those 4th of July celebrations that we're all planning here in the States.  This adorable birdie dressed out in all his U.S. regalia is called USA Birdie. It's hard to believe July 4 is only a couple weeks away!

This fun image was colored with Copic markers and paired with papers from My Mind's Eye "American Made" and Creative Imaginations "Ocean's Wave". It would make a terrific party invitation or a card for someone with an early July birthday too.

Take a look around the Doodle Pantry Shop to see more July 4 inspired images from the new release and stop by the Doodle Pantry Blog and play along in our monthly challenge - all you need for that is to create a card with a Doodle Pantry image!

StampFairy's Molly Graduation

Happy Friday everyone! I'm glad to see this hectic week come to a close. Only one more week of school and then things will relax around the house - thank goodness. And hopefully some of that will help with the stresses of work too.

We have another terrific release today at StampFairy - a collection of graduation images that are perfect this time of year as the high school graduates are celebrating their accomplishments.  I created this card for my cousin's daughter who is graduating this evening.

The collection is called Molly Graduation and there are several terrific poses here for any kind of scene you want to create.  And isn't that freebie wonderful too?!  You can see I used it on my card for that extra finishing touch.

Here she is a little closer so you can see the details.  Molly was colored with Copic markers and the pretty papers I used are from Authentique. The flower embellishments are created with a MS cornflower punch - one of favorite go to punches!
I was inspired by this sketch at The Sketch Challenges today.  It's a lovely sketch and works well for these images I was working with.  I'm entering my card in their challenge this week.

Now stop on over to StampFairy World where all the StampFairies have created some inspiration for you.

Party Hardy

Happy Wednesday!  Isn't this party girl a lot of fun?! A great way to start off a Wednesday I say. There are lots of birthdays this week of my co-workers and so this darling thing is perfect to showcase this week. We're kicking off another sketch challenge at Sweet Sketch Wednesday with Saturated Canary as the sponsor so read on to see what that's all about.

This is the sketch to follow - another terrific one from Arlana.  It goes together quickly and works well with a combination of designer papers or just plain cardstock with a little embossed texture too.  Give it a try and play along with us at Sweet Sketch Wednesday this week.

Our fabulous sponsor this week is Krista Smith, the artist and owner of Saturated Canary digital stamps. We all adore the wonderful and whimsical images at Saturated Canary.  The lucky Grand Prize winner of the   Sweet Sketch Wednesday challenge will receive two free digis of their choice from the Saturated Canary online store - a terrific prize!

We were so lucky to create with Saturated Canary images to inspire you this week.  I chose this cute little imp called Party Hardy and had a blast coloring her up with the red hair and bright colored clothes. The papers are new from Stampin Up and add lots of fun birthday colors to this card.
