Sweet Witch

Hi friends! Halloween is just around the corner and we're celebrating it at Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2 with our sponsor The Stamping Boutique. The challenge this week has a blast from the past sketch and a TWIST - everything orange and Halloween! Hope you'll join us in the fun this week.

This is a terrific sketch originally created by Arlana Patten from the original Sweet Sketch Wednesday.  I have always loved this one and how it turns out.

The Stamping Boutique
The Stamping Boutique is our sponsor for the challenge this week. Tracey Malnofski, the owner and artist, creates such wonderful images. The grand prize winner of the challenge will receive 3 free digi images from The Stamping Boutique and if the winner uses a TSB image, they'll get 4 digis! What a fantastic prize - thanks Tracey!

I adore this sweet witch that Tracey offers in her shop. It's part of the Smoochie Halloween Kit containing four separate images. It was colored with Copic markers, embellished with stickles for some magical sparkles and combined with papers from Authentique that I had in my stash from last year. This is the kind of witch I like to see on Halloween!

Now stop on by Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2 to see the other Halloween witches and goblins we created for your inspiration.  Happy Halloween everyone!

Winter Birds

Happy Wednesday friends. This week is already flying by and that's all right with me. So here we have a new challenge at Sweet Sketch Wednesday and my card has more of a winter theme this time. Sort of keeping with the colder temps creeping into Michigan of late.

I really like the sketch this week, drawn up by our own Sally. The elongated diamond works great and provides a fresh look. Give it a try and play along with us!

Our sponsor this week is Just Some Lines and I love the fun images than Jehanne, the owner, creates. The grand prize winner of our challenge will receive two free digis of their choice from the Just Some Lines store. Thanks for your sponsorship Jehanne!

I chose this adorable winter bird image called "3 Birds In Winter" from Just Some Lines.  It was colored with Copics and cut out and mounted on the diamond shape panel. the papers are from Bo Bunny and I like the cool colors for this winter theme card.

Now head over to Sweet Sketch Wednesday to see the rest of the team's cards using the wonderful image from Just Some Lines.

Autumn Mums

It's time to showcase some fall images now that the weather and leaves are turning. This is my fall inspiration for the new challenge at Sweet Sketch Wednesday with an image from Pattie's Creations.

Let's start with the challenge sketch. This one goes together quickly and has a pretty look when put together.

Pattie Gomez, owner and artist of Pattie's Creations digital images is our sponsor this week. Pattie has such a wonderful selection of digi stamps in her Etsy shop. The grand prize winner of our challenge will receive two free images from Pattie's Creations.  Thanks for your sponsorship Pattie!

On my card today, I'm showcasing Mums In Basket from Pattie's Creations. It was colored with Copic markers and highlighted with Stickles to add more life to the autumn colors I used. The effect is really quite pretty in real life. The papers I used are by Basic Grey.

My team mates at Sweet Sketch Wednesday have created the most creative and beautiful cards this week. Stop on by the challenge site and take a look. You'll love what you see there.  Hope you'll join in the challenge too!

Best Witches

Happy Wednesday friends. We move from coffee themes to Halloween this week in my inspiration for you and the new challenge at Sweet Sketch Wednesday.  This week we're featuring the fun images from Bugaboo Stamps.

Here's the sketch to follow - another terrific one from our own Sally. I love this fresh new layout for its asymmetric characteristics but it still has balance.
Bugaboo is our sponsor this week and we all love the fun images and characters that Jodi draws up for our coloring pleasure!  The grand prize winner will receive seven free digis of their choice from the Bugaboo online shop.  Thanks for your generous sponsorship Jodi!

I chose this fun "Best Witches" image from Bugaboo because it fit the circle layout so well. I just sized it to fit within the star die I had from Spellbinders. It was colored with Copic markers and the papers are from my stash by Cosmo Cricket. I loved how the moon on the background paper becomes part of the sketch layout.

Now stop on by Sweet Sketch Wednesday for more inspiration and to see how you can play along with us in the challenge this week.
