Spring Swing

It's time for a new challenge at Sweet Sketch Wednesday and we have a fun one this week. It a blast from the past sketch and this week it's with a twist... We have a tic-tac-toe grid for you to follow as this twist which adds a bit more fun.

Here's the tic-tac-toe grid to follow.... I used the charm, jewels and ribbon row for my card.

And here's the fabulous sketch by our own Sally - a blast from the past originally used in July 2013.

Our fabulous sponsor this week is Dearie Dolls. We're so happy to have Dearie Dolls as sponsor - every one of the images are just so adorable and unique. Mary Ellen is the owner and artist behind these wonderful stamps and we thank her for her sponsorship.  You can find a ton of freebie images at Dearie Dolls Freebie site.

This darling image is a Dearie Dolls freebie called Spring Swing. It was colored with Copic markers and the paper is My Mind's Eye. I used jewels for the flower centers and a tiny little flower charm hangs on the edge of bottom scallop of the diecut.

Now stop on over to Sweet Sketch Wednesday and take a look at all the other wonderful cards the design team created using Dearie Dolls images this week.

Little Hedgehog

Happy Wednesday friends! Here's my inspiration for you today in the new challenge at Sweet Sketch Wednesday. We have a new sponsor this week and a terrific sketch so I hope you'll craft this week with us in mind and join us in the challenge.

Here's this week's sketch. I love that this sketch works so beautifully for vertical and horizontal oriented images.  As you can tell I flipped it to fit my horizontal image. It's a wonderful sketch so give it a try.

Our new sponsor is Just Some Lines - a fabulous little stamp company with wonderfully whimsical images created by the owner, Jehanne, that you all will adore. Free images from Just Some Lines will go to the grand prize winner of the challenge this week. Thanks Jehanne for your sponsorship!

I used this darling Little Hedgehog image from Just Some Lines for my inspiration card today. He is so darn cute sniffing at that butterfly! He was colored with Copic markers and paired with papers from My Minds Eye.

We are showcasing more images from Just Some Lines over at Sweet Sketch Wednesday so hop on over there and see the creativity from our team - you'll be inspired!

Easter Bluebell

The card here may signal spring thoughts but here in Michigan we're still "enjoying" winter with a dump of snow here yesterday and still frigid temps today. The only thing tempering it is that yesterday's snow in the Detroit area pushed us to a new snow record this year of over 94 inches and shattering the previous record set in 1880! I guess you have to find a positive somewhere in all this.

Well my "positive" each week is the start of a new challenge at Sweet Sketch Wednesday so let's turn our thoughts there and get on with it!

Here's the sketch for the challenge.... Sally's computer is fixed and back in service and she drew up this terrific sketch. It's goes together quick but looks great and is perfect for showing off those fun designer papers we're all addicted to!

This week we're sponsored by Sally Ann at Digi Stamp Boutique, our monthy sponsor and design team favorite.  The lucky grand prize winner of the challenge will receive a £10 voucher to Digi Stamp Boutique and will have fun picking out a bunch of digi stamps to their liking. Thanks, as always, Sally Ann for your generous support!

For a little bit of Easter inspiration, I chose this adorable Digi Stamp Boutique image called Easter Bluebell and Boo. It was colored with Copic markers and paired with fun papers from Bo Bunny.

Now you just have to pop on over to Sweet Sketch Wednesday and see the cutest cards ever created by the design team. I know you'll just love them as much as I do and they'll get you in the spring spirit no matter what your local weather is!

Mushrooms in a Row

Oh happy day! I'm posting this from the warm sunny beaches of Florida while on spring break. A much needed getaway from the Michigan cold. This cute card is my inspiration for you to join us this week in the new challenge at Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2!

Our sketch this week is another blast from the past designed by Sally.  Poor Sally's computer is on the fritz delaying the intro of new sketches. But this one is one of my favorites from the past and it's great to use it again.

Fresh Brewed Designs
Heather Dennis at Fresh Brewed Designs is sponsoring the challenge this week. We love creating with her fun images and you will too! The grand prize winner of our challenge will receive three free digis from Fresh Brewed.  Thanks so much for your sponsorship Heather!

I thought these "Little Mushrooms in a Row" were so cute from Fresh Brewed. When I saw them I knew what papers and colors I would use to go with it.  It was colored with Copic markers and the papers are My Mind's Eye.

So there you have it - a great sketch, a terrific sponsor and fabulous prize package for this challenge. Create with us at Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2 and join in the fun.  Now head on over to SSW2 and take a look at the darling cards the team created for your inspiration.

Spring Bird

Happy Wednesday! I'm hoping that the progression into April brings more signs of spring - like warmer weather and birds singing.  So in honor of that hope, I bring you this card today as inspiration for the new challenge at Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2.

Our sketch for the challenge this week is a blast from the past and one of my favorites actually. It was featured in week 219 at Sweet Sketch Wednesday and drawn up by our own talented Sally.

Our sponsor this week is Bugaboo Stamps and we all love to create with these wonderfully fun images that Jodi dreams up.  The grand prize winner of the challenge will receive 7 free Bugaboo digis of their choice - a super fantastic and generous prize.  Thanks Jodi for your sponsorship!

I chose this beautiful Spring Bird image from Bugaboo. It's new this year and I just love this sweet thing. It was colored with Copic markers and I added some sparkle with a glitter pen by tracing the outlines of the vines and the bird. I just love the patterns and colors here which feel very spring-like.

Now stop on by Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2 to see the fun cards our team is showing to inspire you this week using Bugaboo Stamps.
