Barry Boxing

Happy Friday everyone!  It's the start of Spring break and we're headed to Florida - can't wait for the warm weather and relaxation!  Today at StampFairy we have a "winner" of a release. How creative is this adorable Barry bear as a winning prize fighter!

Introducing Barry Boxing... can't you think of a million ideas for these new digis?  Cards of encouragement - keep up the good fight.  Cards of congratulations - you're a winner.  Well you get the idea!  I hope you love these as much as we do at StampFairy.

I colored my Barry Boxing image with Copics and added crystal effects on his nose and the stars on his prize fighter belt.  The papers are "A Boys Life" from Echo Park.

Head on over to StampFairy World to see the amazing cards the StampFairies created to inspire you. My goodness they are fantastic this week - you won't want to miss it!

Play Ball!

It's another Sweet Sketch Wednesday! Today I'm celebrating the start of baseball season. My son has played the game since he was just a little guy and now is on the JV baseball team at our high school. The games started last week and he's doing great this season. He's a center fielder and as the coach says nothing gets by him! So I couldn't resist this terrific image from our sponsor this week, Fresh Brewed Designs.

Here's the fun and quick to put together sketch for this week's challenge. Another fab design by our own Arlana.
We welcome back Fresh Brewed Designs as our sponsor this week. It's been a while and we're so glad to have the opportunity to inspire you with Heather's images.  The Grand Prize winner of the sketch this week will receive three digis of their choice from the Fresh Brewed Designs store - a terrific prize!  Thanks Heather for your generosity.

The digi I've used is "Tommy Baseball" from Fresh Brewed Designs and was so much fun to use and embellish with baseball themed papers, balls and the small mitt.  The papers are digital from Jessica Weible Illustrations and the embellies are from Jollies Boutique.

I hope you'll play along with us this week at Sweet Sketch Wednesday. Hop on over to the challenge blog and see all the terrific cards the design Divas created for your inspiration.

Flower Power at Inky Impressions

Hi there fans and followers and a Wednesday welcome to you.  We have two things going on today and two posts - a busy day.  Let start with the new challenge at Inky Impressions. Flower Power is the theme this week and that can mean lots of things - a beautiful flower stamp or image, tons of flower embellishments, pretty floral papers, etc on your cards and projects. We want to see them all!

I went with an image that has flowers on it, floral papers and a punched flower embellishment on my card to fit the theme.  The image is Angelica's Bunny Hugs and it's on sale right now in the Inky Impressions Store.

I used this beautiful layout from Card Patterns for my card design. I was so inspired after seeing this and the design team samples using it. Thanks for the inspiration ladies! I'm entering my card in their challenge this week.

Now pop on over to Inky Impressions Challenge blog and see the creativity of all the Inkettes - you'll love what you see there.

Hunny Bunny Barry

Happy Friday fans and followers! We have an adorable Easter collection release today at StampFairy and you're going to love it!  Featuring everyone's favorite Barry dressed as a bunny, these new digis are just perfect for Easter and Spring.

The collection is called Barry Bunny and how can you resist these cuties.  And what a terrific freebie offered today as part of this release - isn't that bunny fun?

The eggs in this fab image were just itching to be paper pieced! So I digitally pieced them using Shery K Designs digital papers.  They would also look terrific in solid embossed papers or a special coloring technique. And isn't Barry just so adorable with his bunny ears on?!!

Here's the design I used for today's card. It's the current sketch challenge at Sketches by Carly and I think it's such a wonderful layout.  It gets you to use at least four different designer papers and about six layers - you know I love that!

Gerda and the rest of the StampFairies have some great inspiration for you with these new images over at StampFairy World - pop on over there and take a look!

Happy Spring!

Happy Wednesday and happy Spring!  We're having such warm, summer-like and record-breaking weather here in Michigan and it's just terrific by my book.  It's nice to get free of the winter coats and let our toes breath in sandals!!!  I hope you are having a nice start at Spring too.

I can't think of a better way to celebrate the start of Spring than a new challenge at Sweet Sketch Wednesday!  So get out your Spring and Easter stamps and digis and join us this week!

This week's sketch makes for such an interesting card - all layered and embellished.  As you know I like layouts with lots of layers, especially like this where you have a clear view of all the pretty papers used.

Our monthly sponsor, Digi Stamp Boutique, is providing the Grand Prize winner of the challenge six free digis of your choice.  Sally Ann, owner of DSB, has been sponsoring Sweet Sketch Wednesday from the very first challenge and is always so generous to our winners and our team.  Thanks Sally Ann.  You'll find such a wonderful selection of digis at Digi Stamp Boutique - take a look around and see what's new there.

I chose this adorable and perfect for Spring digi from Digi Stamp Boutique called "Spring Coco and Friends". I just love this little teddy from DSB.  The image was brought to life using Copics and the pretty Spring papers are from Crate Paper.  Again, I used my MS Cornflower punch to create the handmade flower embellishment - it's the perfect size flower for this sketch.

I hope you'll stop by and play along with us this week at Sweet Sketch Wednesday! The design team has created some adorable cards this week with Digi Stamp Boutique images - take a look and be inspired!

Mischievious Christopher

It's time to get inky with Inky Impressions today!  There's a new challenge starting at the Inky Impressions Challenges blog and for those that like sketches we have a good one for you to follow this week.

Here's the fun sketch for the Inky Impressions Challenge this week.  There is also a simplified version that you'll find on the challenge blog.

The Robin's Nest is sponsoring our challenges all month!  The winner of the challenge will receive a $15 gift certificate to The Robin's Nest.

On this card, I've used some terrific rub-ons provided by The Robin's Nest - the palm tree and the sentiments are the ones I'm highlighting today.  I've also used their diamond shape dew drops which are a fun added embellishment. The Inky Impressions rubber stamp that I'm showcasing is Mischievious Christopher. I think this image does a great job of capturing a pure boy! Frog in hand in the middle of a puddle and the added slingshot is just perfect too.  The only thing missing is the mud!

We have a great sale going on now at the Inky Impressions store. Angelica's Bunny and Lili's Chicks rubber stamps are specially priced just in time for your Spring and Easter cards.

Come join us in the challenge this week. We love seeing your wonderful creations!  Thanks for stopping by today!

You're My Pot of Gold

Hi fans and followers! I'm back again today with a new card from Inky Impressions for the new challenge today at Inky Impressions Challenge blog.  "You're My Pot of Gold" is the theme this week and I took that literally by using my gold sparkly papers and gold stickles!

We have a terrific new sponsor all month for our Inky Impressions Challenges.  The Robins Nest is providing a $15 gift certificate to our challenge winner.

The papers I've used on my card this week are from The Robin's Nest and were so perfect for this theme.  The green background paper has gold flecks through it and the botanical print paper is so beautiful with it's birch bark look.

I've used a couple new digi stamps from Inky Impressions this week.  The Rainbow Pot of Gold and Rainbows Sentiment make a perfect St. Patty's Day card.  Here I've used the Rainbow image as part of my card design which is from Stamptacular Sunday Challenge.

Stamptacular Sunday Challenge 4
I thought it was fun to use the image as part of the corner design on this sketch. I'm entering my card in the Stamptacular Sunday Challenge this week.

I was also inspired by the Cupcake Inspirations challenge photo this week and playing along there too. See that rainbow and pot of gold?

So that wraps it up for today. Please visit the Inky Impressions Challenge Blog and see the wonderful gold-inspired creations that the Inkettes are showing off this week.

Isn't this a great one with all the layers and the fun embellishments? I hope you'll give this layout a try - I think you'll love the results.
We're so lucky to have A Day For Daisies as our sponsor again.  A Day For Daisies provides themed categories of over 1000 fun and whimsical digital images, including fairy tales and magical mermaids, cutie kids, vintage illustrations, sentiments and lovely designs for all occasions. Tammy, the owner and artist, is generously providing our Grand Prize winner of this week's challenge a $12 gift certificate to the A Day For Daisies store.  Thanks Tammy!

I choose this beautiful A Day For Daisies  image, Flowers in my Garden, to create my card this week. I love this sweet thing with her hair blowing in the wind.  The papers are Stella and Rose from My Mind's Eye and I made the flower embellishments with a MS cornflower punch.

I hope you'll find time to join us in the Sweet Sketch Wednesday challenge this week. We are so inspired by all our participants and their wonderful creations.  Take a minute to visit the SSW blog and see all the other beautiful work of the design Divas won't you?
