Merry Christmas! I hope you all are enjoying this blessed day with family and friends.
It's hard to believe this is the last challenge of 2013 at Sweet Sketch Wednesday and we have some news there today. Arlana is resigning her post as owner of SSW and Sally Dube is taking over starting next week. The new challenge site will be Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2 and the new link for the weekly challenges will be www.sweetsketchwednesday2.blogspot.com. Most of the team will carry over to the new site and owner and you'll continue to have those terrific sketches to follow each week with generous prize packages for winners like we have now. You can read more about it from Arlana at the SSW site.
Here's the sketch for the final challenge of the year - it's a blast from the past sketch originally appearing in Week 98 in April 2011.
Bugaboo Stamps is our sponsor this week and Jodi is offering the grand prize winner of the challenge 7 digi stamps totaling $21. This is such a terrific prize I hope it motivates you to create a card and play along. Thanks Jodi for your generous sponsorship!
I chose this fun image from Bugaboo called DeDe Christmas Ornaments to create with this week. It makes such a fun card I think. It was colored with Copic markers and glittered up a bit with a sparkly gel pen and some crystal lacquer on the orgnaments. The papers are from Authentique.
Now head on over to Sweet Sketch Wednesday and read the final farewell from Arlana and see the fantastic cards created to inspire you to join our challenge this week.

Christmas Kitty
Well we're in the home stretch of Christmas shopping now - just a week to go and I'm feeling totally behind. I've made some progress since the weekend but not enough to kick back and relax through the next week. How about you - are you done with your holiday shopping yet?
Well you're just going to have to put this adorable image on your shopping list. It's new from Digi Stamp Boutique - our sponsor of the challenge this week at Sweet Sketch Wednesday.
Here's this week's sketch to follow for the challenge - fantastic isn't it? It was designed by our own Sally and I like the look of it all made up into a card.
Digi Stamp Boutique is our monthly sponsor - the third Wednesday of each month. Sally Ann, the owner, is such a generous and loyal sponsor of SSW. The grand prize winner of the challenge this week will receive six free digital stamps from Digi Stamp Boutique - a fantastic prize package. But just like the lottery, you gotta be in it to win it so join us this week by creating a card using the sketch above.
This adorable kitty is Christmas Archie - new to the collections at Digi Stamp Boutique. I just couldn't resist him in his Santa hat and stocking ready to be filled with all sorts of goodies. I brought the image to life with Copic markers and use polar ice flower soft for the hat and stocking fur which gave it great dimension and really makes the image stand out. The papers are Winter Wonderland from My Mind's Eye.
Now take peek over at Sweet Sketch Wednesday and see the fun cards created for your inspiration this week using Digi Stamp Boutique images. There's a lot of cute ideas there.

Holiday Penguin
Happy Wednesday friends! It's time for a new sketch challenge at Sweet Sketch Wednesday and this week we're featuring a variety of images from Pattie's Creations. Let's get started shall we?
Here's the sketch to follow this week - drawn up by our own Sally. It goes together quickly with fabulous results. I hope you'll give it a try!
Pattie Gomez, the owner and illustrator of Pattie's Creations is generously sponsoring this week's challenge at Sweet Sketch Wednesday. The grand prize winner of the challenge will receive three free digis from Pattie's Creations.
To inspire your creativity with our sketch, I chose this adorable Penguin from Pattie's Creations. It was colored with Copic markers in bright, fun colors and glittered it up here and there - as all Christmas cards should be! The papers are Happy Holidays from Echo Park. I used the Spellbinders Spiral Blossom 3 die to create the flower embellishment.
Now stop on by Sweet Sketch Wednesday to check out the creations from the SSW design team using Pattie's Creations digis and this week's sketch - they are so darn cute!

Letters to Santa
Hi there crafty friends! I have a "sweet" little Christmas card to share with you today for the start of a new challenge at Sweet Sketch Wednesday. We're featuring images this week from Elisabeth Bell and they are simply adorable.
Here's the fun sketch to follow this week. It's another fantastic layout created by our own Sally and makes for an eye-catching card. It goes together easy so I hope you'll give it a try and join us in the challenge.
Elisabeth Bell Designs is our sponsor this week and we always look forward to creating with her darling images. The grand prize winner will receive two digital images from Elisabeth Bell Designs of the images we're featuring from the design team at Sweet Sketch Wednesday. This is a wonderful prize and we thank Elisabeth for her generous sponsorship this week.
This dear digital stamp is one of the Elisabeth Bell images you could win in the challenge. Called "Letters to Santa", it is such a detailed scene that it makes a wonderful card for this holiday season. I brought it to life with Copic markers, lots of stickles for glittery goodness and used Bo Bunny papers that were in my stash from last winter.
Now head on over to Sweet Sketch Wednesday to see the other Elisabeth Bell stamps you could win by playing along in our challenge this week.

Indian Harvest Girl
Happy Wednesday friends! I hope all my U.S. friends have their Thanksgiving feast shopping done and are ready for your gatherings of friends and families. I love the long Thanksgiving weekend and am looking forward to the feast and relaxation. Here's wishing all of you a happy Thanksgiving too!
Today's card is perfect for this holiday and it kicks off the new challenge at Sweet Sketch Wednesday today with Eureka Stamps as our sponsor.
Here's the sketch to follow for the challenge. It's a nice one and shows off coordinating papers and embellishments - you always have to have a place for those embellies! I hope you'll give it a try and join us this week.
For this challenge, Eureka Stamps is our sponsor and we had such a great time using the variety of digital stamps available there. The grand prize winner of the challenge this week will receive 5 digital images of their choice from Eureka Stamps. A fantastic prize and we're very thankful for the generous sponsorship of Sweet Sketch Wednesday.
I chose this adorable Indian girl from Eureka Stamps called Indian Harvest Girl. She was colored with Copic markers, paired with designer papers from the All Spice collection from MME. The corn embellishments are buttons - I just cut the shanks off of them to mount them flush to the card. I distressed the edges of the image panel - really smudged one area and decided I like the effect so repeated it all around the edge of the oval.
Now pop on over to Sweet Sketch Wednesday and see the wonderful samples the design team created using Eureka Stamps to inspire you. You'll love their creativity and selection of images.

Bailey Reindeer
Welcome friends and followers! Today we have a new challenge starting at Sweet Sketch Wednesday and our sponsor is Digi Stamp Boutique.
Here's the sketch to follow designed by our own Arlana. It goes together quick without a lot of fussy cutting or diecuts. I hope you'll give it a try and join us this week.
Digi Stamp Boutique is our loyal monthly sponsor and is providing the prize package this week to the Grand Prize winner of the challenge. The prize is a £10 gift certificate to the Digi Stamp Boutique online store. Thanks Sally Anne for your generous sponsorship month after month!
I chose this adorable reindeer image from Digi Stamp Boutique to create with. He's called Bailey and comes in a set of three different scenes - a fabulous value and the set is on sale right now at their shop. I colored it up with Copic markers, added some crystal lacquer for his nose and the stars, used some stickles around the edge of the focal panel and embellished it with a punched star and some glittery snowflakes.

Vintage Beauty
Boy this week is flying by - it's Wednesday already and time for a new challenge at Sweet Sketch Wednesday. We have one my favorite sponsors this week - A Day For Daisies. I am especially proud of this creation today - a vintage feel to it with the lace paper, beautiful rose embellishments and antique brad. And of course, all inspired by the vintage image. More about that later.
First let's look at this wonderful sketch for this week's challenge created by our own Arlana. It even looks vintage to me. I love this for those bigger print papers and some spectacular embellishments. I hope it inspires you to create with it and join us in the challenge!
We are always so happy to have A Day For Daisies as our sponsor. There are so many gorgeous images illustrated by Tammy, it's usually a hard choice to pick one. The grand prize winner of this week's challenge will get to pick more than one! The prize package is a $12 gift certificate to A Day For Daisies! A very generous prize and we thank Tammy for her wonderful sponsorship of Sweet Sketch Wednesday.
This beautiful vintage woman was fun and challenging to color with Copic markers. I love the detail of the bow on her bonnet. The image is called Lady Hat Bow and I think she's stunning. The papers are from LilyBee Design called Head Over Heels. I thought they also had a vintage feel to them.
Now stop on by Sweet Sketch Wednesday to see more beautiful cards with A Day For Daisies images. You'll be glad you did!

Stocking Puppy
Welcome back my friends and followers! Hard to believe it November now - the days are just flying by and pretty soon Christmas will be here. So I've created a Christmas card to inspire you to play along in the new sketch challenge at Sweet Sketch Wednesday.
Here's the sketch for this week. It's a blast from the past sketch - one of our favorites being repurposed from Week 101 when it originally appeared back in May 2011. I like the main image panel off-kilter - it adds more interest that way.
Our sponsor this week is Melissa Jenkins, the owner and illustrator at Meljen's Designs. We love the sweet, whimsical images that Melissa creates. The grand prize winner of the challenge will receive four non-colored digis of their choice from Meljen's Designs. A fantastic prize package - thanks Melissa for your generous sponsorship!
I chose this darling little dog image from Meljen's Designs called "Stocking Puppy" to create my Christmas card. He is such a happy thing! He was brought to life with Copic markers, and the image was enhanced with stickles to make it sparkly and a dab of crystal lacquer to his nose. The papers are from My Mind's Eye "Merry Little Christmas" collection. The sparkly and silver brads are Stampin' Up.
Now join us at Sweet Sketch Wednesday and see all the adorable cards made with images from Meljen's Designs - all created to inspire you to play along with us this week!

Pumpkin Teddy Bear
Happy Wednesday friends! Here's the last of my Halloween cards this years featuring this adorable teddy bear dressed up like pumpkin. The image is from StampFairy, the sponsor this week of the new challenge at Sweet Sketch Wednesday.
Here the sketch to follow for the challenge this week. I love the look of this and it goes together quickly. This is quite versatile - can look very vintage with a lacy diecut or more contemporary depending how you mat the oval panel. The same with the strips running horizontally - lace, ribbon or paper (as I used) changes the look of the layout - so many different effects to create with this one sketch! Great job with it Sally!
We're thrilled to have StampFairy again as our sponsor this week. Gerda does such a fantastic job with the adorable images she creates - they are all irresistibly cute, whimsical and loved by all of us at Sweet Sketch Wednesday!
The grand prize winner of the sketch challenge this week will receive a $10 gift certificate to the StampFairy shop. Thanks for your generous sponsorship Gerda!
I chose this "Barry Halloween" image to create my card. Barry is my favorite teddy bear at StampFairy and he is so darn cute in his pumpkin costume for Halloween. He was brought to life with copic markers and the papers are from Cosmo Cricket. I found this sketch to be perfect for the larger print DP since it shows a great deal of it. The frilly edge of the orange oval panel (as in the sketch) was created with a larger oval diecut and snipping it all the way around the oval image.
Now pop on over to Sweet Sketch Wednesday and take a look at the darling cards the design team created with StampFairy images. You will love them!
