Happy Wednesday and Thanksgiving to "owl" of you! We have a fun blast from the past sketch this week at Sweet Sketch Wednesday and a new sponsor for the challenge too. There's also a Twist - use buttons and/or bows on your creation.
Here's the oldie but goodie sketch for this week - originally appearing in Week 190 from SSW in January 2013. It's a great sketch and fun to put together.
Our new sponsor this week is Diane Noble, owner and illustrator of the wonderful digis at Diane's Daydream Designs. The grand prize winner of the challenge will receive a $10 coupon to Diane's store. Thanks for your generous sponsorship Diane!
I chose this adorable owl from the Owl Always Love You set at Diane's Daydream Designs. It was digitally paper pieced, printed several times so I could cut it out and layer it for dimension. The eyes were a perfect place for the buttons to go!

Happy Birthday Daughter!
This week we're celebrating my daughter's 16th birthday and her new freedom gained through getting her driver's license! This is the card I created for her using the new sketch at Sweet Sketch Wednesday. This reminds me so much of her walking our dog Tillie, as well as her shopping!
Here's the sketch to follow this week. It can be very simple or with some terrific embellishments and diecuts, very detailed. Either way it goes together pretty quickly and looks great. Give it a try and join us this week.
Digi Stamp Boutique is our sponsor for the challenge and we all love the images that Sally Ann offers in her shoppe. The grand prize winner will receive a £10 voucher to Digi Stamp Boutique - a super prize!
This new DSB image is Shopping Kate and it was colored with Copic markers. The papers are My Mind's Eye.
Now head on over to Sweet Sketch Wednesday to see the design team creations using Digi Stamp Boutique images - some really cute ones this week!

Autumn Song Birdies
Hi there friends! We're sticking with the fall theme again this week for the challenge at Sweet Sketch Wednesday. And I'm sure you can tell with these adorable little birdies that Doodle Pantry is back as our sponsor.
Let's start with this fun new sketch from Sally. I like how the simple panels on the right and left frame the center image. It goes together really quick and looks terrific.
I'm so glad that Doodle Pantry is back as our sponsor this week. Laurie Wilson creates such wonderful characters, beautiful scenes and realistic flowers. My favorite characters are the birdies as you can tell from my card this week! The grand prize winner of challenge will receive a $10 coupon to the Doodle Pantry shop - a fantastic prize. Thanks for your generous sponsorship Laurie!
This darling image is Autumn Song Birdies and it comes in a set with several sentiments, digi papers and both line drawing and pre-colored versions of the image. I chose one of the precolored versions here and paired it with scraps from my stash that had an autumn feel but also picked up the colors from the image.

Blessing a Flower
Welcome back to my blog! I'm featuring some inspiration for you in the new challenge at Sweet Sketch Wednesday this week. We're showcasing A Day For Daisies digi stamps - my favorite stamp company - so let's get started.
Here's our sketch to follow in making up your cards. It turns out so pretty in real life and works great with beautiful papers and embellishments.
A Day For Daisies is our sponsor of the challenge this week. Tammy's images are so wonderful to create with and there is such a fantastic selection to choose from. Lots of fairies, children, mothers and animals with some terrific vintage look images as well. The grand prize winner of the challenge will receive a $12 gift certificate to the A Day For Daisies shop - an amazing prize.
I chose this beautiful fairy from ADFD called Blessing a Flower and colored it up with Copic markers. Some added glitter and pairing with pretty and colorful new papers from My Mind's Eye and a dreamy new card was created.
The design team at Sweet Sketch Wednesday has created the most beautiful cards this week to inspire you to enter our challenge, so stop on by and give your eyes a feast!
