Dirty Side Down

Hi friends! Here's a new card for the Sweet Sketch Wednesday challenge starting today. We have a blast from the past sketch and we're featuring the wonderful images from Doodle Pantry this week.

Here's the sketch to follow - it was originally drawn up by Arlana Patten for a Sweet Sketch Wednesday challenge back in December 2012. It looks super when done up and perfect for a whole host of image types.

We welcome back Laurie Wilson and her company Doodle Pantry as our sponsor of the challenge. We all love to create with Laurie's adorable and beautiful images. If you're not familiar with Doodle Pantry you just have to get over to the store and see the wide variety of images, along with the iconic birdie images there which are my favorites for sure.  The lucky grand prize winner of our challenge this week will receive a $10 gift certificate to Doodle Pantry. Thanks Laurie for supporting our challenge!

I chose the set called Motorcycle Mania for my card this week. I used the precolor version because the color was a perfect match with the papers I had from Bo Bunny. The set also comes with another motorcycle style, sentiments and black line images as well. It makes for a terrific guy card, which is what I was looking for.

Now hop on over to Sweet Sketch Wednesday to see more inspiration cards from the design team using Doodle Pantry digi stamps.

Penny's Heart

Welcome back friends! Here's my inspiration for you today for the new challenge at Sweet Sketch Wednesday. We have a terrific sketch to follow this week and we're featuring the unique images from Dilly Beans.

Here's the sketch for the challenge. I think diamond shapes make interesting layouts, particularly if you have an image that fills it out. I sort of offset my Dilly Beans image on the diamond to balance out the ribbon that crosses over.

Dilly Beans is our sponsor of the challenge. There's so many unusual and captivating images offered by Megan Suarez, the owner and illustrator.  The lucky grand prize winner of the challenge this week will receive three free images from Dilly Beans. Thanks for generous sponsorship Megan!

I chose Penny's Heart (image #554) from Dilly Beans for my creation. She was brought to life with Copic markers and the papers are from Bo Bunny. I think she is lovely!

Now stop on over to Sweet Sketch Wednesday to see more Dilly Beans images on the beautiful cards created by the design team.

Caught A Bug?

I have another super fun Digi Stamp Boutique image to share with you today. There's always something new at DSB and this little bug just arrived.

Who doesn't need a stash of get well cards? Well this Get Well Set is perfect for building up your go-to stash. I colored the image with Copic markers, glittered up the wings with stickles (when you're sick, sparkles definitely help!) and then spread crystal lacquer over the whole thing to add the glass effect to the jar. This is sure to make anyone smile - even when sick.

To see more of the new images for this month, visit the Digi Stamp Boutique Blog where the design team has created beautiful cards for your inspiration. Also visit the DSB Facebook page - you'll love what everyone is sharing there too.

Birds in the Wind

This week's challenge at Sweet Sketch Wednesday is sponsored by the fan favorite A Day For Daisies. The images that Tammy creates there are so inspiring and so beautiful!

Here's the sketch to follow for the challenge - easy to put together and lots of possibilities for embellishments to dress it up.

One lucky player in the challenge will win a $12 gift certificate from A Day For Daisies - our sponsor this week. It's a super prize but you have to play to win it so get your creativity going and join in the fun this week!

I chose this gorgeous image called Birds In The Wind from ADFD. I liked the challenge in coloring her hair and skin with the right shadowing and highlights. It was done with Copic markers and a little bit with Primacolor pencils for highlights and fine details. With the bird theme, I added the feathers and am entering this card in the challenge over at A Day For Daisies which calls for feathers.

Now head over to Sweet Sketch Wednesday to see more ADFD images with this sketch - you'll be inspired to join the challenge!
