Hi friends! This is my inspiration for you this week in the new challenge at Sweet Sketch Wednesday. You know how I love A Day For Daisies images and they are our sponsor this week so I'm in heaven!
Here's the sketch to follow in this week's challenge. Obviously you can choose, as I did, a variety of embellishment treatments in place of the stars. Give the sketch a try - it turns out lovely.
A Day For Daisies is our sponsor this week and we always look forward to using the gorgeous images that Tammy creates for her store. There's a wonderful selection for any occasion. The grand prize winner will receive a $12 gift certificate to the A Day For Daisies store. This is a fabulous prize!
I chose this beautiful image, Love of Birds, to create my card this week. The colors are a little softer than I usually choose and I went for an antiqued look as well with distressing done on edges. The coloring was done with Copic markers and a little bit of Prismacolor pencils to add in touches of rose in the gown to add depth and on the birds to reflect the rose color and tie it all in. The papers are from My Mind's Eye.
I sure hope you join us in the Sweet Sketch Wednesday challenge this week. Head on over to the site to see other beautiful inspiration cards created for you by the design team.
Thanks for stopping by!

Flower Pot Zinnia
Welcome back friends! We have a great sponsor this week at Sweet Sketch Wednesday for the new challenge. It's Lacy Sunshine Stamps and what a whopping selection of fantastic digis you'll find at this web store! But first let's start with the challenge sketch...
It's a blast from the past sketch to follow this week. This sketch originally appeared at Sweet Sketch Wednesday in October 2012. (Can't believe that was three years ago!) I happen to have rotated the sketch to fit my image in the challenge this week.
Heather Valentin and her stamp company Lacy Sunshine is our sponsor of the challenge this week. You really have to visit her site and see the incredible selection and variety of images she offers. We're so happy to welcome her back as our sponsor and the grand prize winner will receive three free images from Lacy Sunshine. Thanks Heather for your generous sponsorship!
The image I chose from Lacy Sunshine is from the Flower Pot Pretties collection called Zinnia. I think the images in this collection are so creative and fun to bring to life with Copic markers as I did here. The papers are Stella Rose from My Mind's Eye and the flower created with a MS punch.
Be sure to stop over to Sweet Sketch Wednesday and see some more wonderful images from Lacy Sunshine on the design team cards - you just love the creativity there.
