Sensational Saturday at Sugar Creek Hollow

Good day bloggers! It's a sensational Saturday at Sugar Creek Hollow and that means a new challenge, gorgeous DT cards for a little inspiration and a wonderful showing of talent from all of you that participate in the weekly fun. Seriously, we are so overwhelmed with the gorgeous entries to the Sugar Creek Hollow challenges! So keep them coming - we so appreciate your participation and sharing your creativity with us.

The challenge this week is "Inside Out" - decorating your card on the inside as well as the outside.  So for those of you who love to add the multitude of details, embellishments and eye candy on your card, this just gives you more space to work with!!!!  I'm really looking forward to seeing what everyone comes up with that will inspire me to spend more time working on the inside details of my cards than I do. And if you're like me, I sometimes wait and do the inside of the card later and by then you've lost the mojo to do it with the details that differentiate your handmade cards from others.

So this is the inside of my card today - somewhat simple but carries the theme from the front to the inside with the polka dots, diecut (Nesties Labels 17), violets and embossing. I only had to color three more violet clusters and if I didn't do it now when creating the card in the first place, the inside would have ended up with a yawn.

Here's a closeup of the front. I'm using the Sugar Creek Hollow image "February Flower of the Month". If you look at the focal panel and the navy polka-dot background it is a flap that unfolds. This is a modified gatefold card with the top panel overlapping the bottom - kind of like the ballots they use at the Oscars (so fitting for this weekend don't you think!). I've also used some of the Country Crinkle Ribbon that Tracy offers at the Sugar Creek Hollow Shoppe.

Now take a moment and visit the Sugar Creek Hollow blog and see the rest of the design team creations for a little inspiration on decorating the inside of your cards. And then join us in the challenge this week - I'm looking forward to seeing your creativity.

Thanks for stopping by!

Sharon, WOW is this ever stunning! I just love the combo of violet and navy together and how you extended the violet flower on your image! The crinkly ribbon looks fabulous - just like leaves. Your coloring is gorgeous and your card is just as beautiful on the inside!
Hugs,
Marsha

Your card is just lovely. Your placement of the flowers is wonderful. It feels like there are four different stamps, or one big beautiful stamp. The inside is just as gorgeous as the outside.I will miss you all so much. I have loved working with the team. I hope you enter some challenges when time permits.

Hugz,
Julie
