Scarlet Paintbrush

Welcome back fans and followers!  This is my second post today with a focus on Doodle Pantry. We have some terrific collections in the new release today at Doodle Pantry - nine new sets and four sets released in pre-colored versions.  The beautiful image I'm showcasing is Scarlet Paintbrush.

I printed the digi on kraft cardstock and colored it with Copic markers and Prismacolor pencils.  This is first time I've tried Copics on  kraft and it works quite well.  The flowers were highlighted with the Prismacolor pencils and the panel then sponged with Vintage Photo distress ink.  Diecuts used are Spellbinders and the doily is Cheery Lynn Designs.  Edge punches are Martha Stewart.

The design of my card was inspired by Tracy MacDonald at I Wanna Build a Memory.  She has a terrific video on how to create this "Magic Card" as she called it.  I love the lacy flaps and the fact that the center portion with the image opens up.

Now take a stroll over to Doodle Pantry and check out all the other collections released today.  You're sure to find something there you can't live without!  Also a reminder that our new challenge starts today at the Doodle Pantry Blog and as always, we have a freebie waiting for you just for playing along with us.

Thanks for stopping by and enjoy your weekend!

What a beauty! I'm surprised the colours took so well on the Kraft cardstock, that's amazing. Lovely job, as always :)
