King For A Day

We're kicking off another challenge week at Sweet Sketch Wednesday today with a terrific sketch and a sponsor that is everyone's favorite - StampFairy.  Can you believe we're in the month of September? The summer just seemed to fly by and now the kids are back in school.

And speaking of the kids - here they are on their first day back! They're both in high school this year and I just don't know how that happened so fast. It seems like yesterday that I was bawling as I put Nick on the bus for his first day of Kindergarten.  They both had a good day, like their teachers and had plenty of homework to keep them busy last night.

Now here's the sketch this week that Arlana created.  It provides such a nice clean look. It's a perfect sketch for the guy cards too when you replace the "flowers" with something like buttons as I did on my card this week.  I hope you'll give it a try and join us in the fun!

We always love it when StampFairy is our sponsor.  Gerda, the owner and illustrator, creates such sweet, adorable digi stamps that are so much fun to create with.  There are new digi stamps and a freebie released every Friday at StampFairy and showcased on their blog, StampFairy World.

Gerda is provided the Grand Prize winner of the challenge this week with a $10 gift certificate to StampFairy. It's such a generous prize.  For the month of September, StampFairy is having a 50% off sale on all images so you can get even more with the gift certificate!  Thanks Gerda for your wonderful prize and sponsorship this week!

I just couldn't resist creating my challenge card with this adorable lion from StampFairy.  His name is appropriately Lionel and just cracks me up with that big old chicken leg he's eating here.  I brought this ferocious lion to life with Copic markers, added a bit of crystal lacquer to his nose and some glitter gel pen to sparkle up his crown.

The rest of the Sweet Sketch Wednesday design team has used a terrific variety of StampFairy images in their challenge cards this week.  Our new designers are debuting today and off to an amazing start.  So hop on over to Sweet Sketch Wednesday to get inspired!

Thanks for stopping by!

How fun to see your kids Sharon! Were they really that happy to go to school or did you force them to smile?!!! My oldest one is always grumpy the first day.
