Sugar Creek Hollow 3-2-1 Challenge

Happy Saturday my online friends! What a week with Blogger going haywire and my travel with work. I'm just now trying to recover (actually redo) my posts - and I thought I was so very clever and working ahead! Well you all had the same issues so I won't belabor that. Instead let's go to the new challenge at Sugar Creek Hollow starting today!

This week's challenge is to create a vintage/primitive card using 3 designer papers, 2 die cuts and 1 charm.  We're calling it the 3-2-1 challenge and would love for you to play along with us.

As we've indicated, the Sugar Creek Hollow challenge blog has changed up a bit - now with a strengthened focus on the creation of vintage, shabby chic and/or primitive card styles using a variety of stamp companies.  Well this week, we're focusing on the wonderful images provided by Shelly's Images who is sponsoring our challenge this week.  The winner of the Sugar Creek Hollow challenge this week will receive 3 free digi images of their choice from Shelly's Images. Now that's a wonderful prize and hopefully will entice you to join our weekly challenge!

We were so lucky to get Shelly's Images to play with for our inspiration cards this week. For my card, I've used "Pansies" - a beautiful digi stamp that won 2nd place in the first CDAC digi drawing challenge.  I love this stamp and it was such fun to create a vintage card using it. I colored the image with Copics to achieve this look. My three designer papers are from K&Company's Julianne collection. They include the background floral, the green panel behind the image and the blue diecut behind the focal panel. The 2 diecuts include a doily die from MFTStamps "Die-namics" and the "decorative window scene" die, an exclusive from Heartfelt Creations. I thought the charm was perfect for this card because it says "Bloom where you are planted".

I encourage you to visit the Sugar Creek Hollow blog to see more of Shelly's Images used this week in some pretty incredible cards created by our design team.

Thanks for stopping by today!

Absolutely gorgeous and I love the colours you made your pansies. That is the beauty of this flower, it can be many colours. The charm is so perfect with this image and the lovely bow adds such a special touch.
Hugs!

Sharon, your coloring has to be some of the best that I have seen on the web!!! When I saw this come up over on our group site, I just had to sit and study it for a while. Lovely, lovely, use of color and textures. I am sure you have made Shelly proud.
