Sweet Sketch Wednesday #102-43

Happy Wednesday and welcome! I've been excited to finally post this card for the new Sweet Sketch Wednesday challenge today.  It's another super sketch and an adorable image - new from Digi Stamp Boutique.

As a fun twist, we're bringing back some of our favorite sketches from the first 100 at Sweet Sketch Wednesday. Kind of keeping the celebration of our 100 sketch milestone going! This wonderful sketch first appeared as #43 and it's a delight to use. It really shows off the selection of papers I think and an opportunity for some great embellishments.
Our sponsor of the challenge this week is Digi Stamp Boutique. I love the variety of images offered at DSB - there's something for everyone there, you should really pop in and see what Sally Ann has. I know you'll love DSB images.  The Grand Prize winner of the Sweet Sketch Wednesday challenge this week will receive 6 free digi images from Digi Stamp Boutique so I hope you'll join us for your chance to win this super generous prize!

This darling image is "Olivia and Archie Playing" and you can find it at DSB here.  I fell in love with these cutie kitties the moment I saw the new release there this month. I colored the image with Copics and paper pieced the leaves of the trees.

It was fun to extend the image beyond the oval die cut - I think it really brings the image to life.  My papers are digital from My Time Made Easy and I love the fun color combination of the polka dots.  The flower embellishment is handmade using a circle punch and crumpling the paper to get the dimension and look.

The design team samples created this week at Sweet Sketch Wednesday really show off the variety of images available at Digi Stamp Boutique. Pop on over to the blog and see them - you'll find a lot of inspiration there.

Thanks so much for stopping by today!

I so love the Olivia and Archie images that DSB just released. I will be using Olivia next month. I love your paper pieced leaves and I always love how you extend the image beyond the frame! It really does bring it to life. I also love your scalloped edges. So fun to enjoy Arlana's sketches from the past!

Beautiful card and I am off to buy the stamp. When you paper piece with digital images, are you running the patterned paper through the printer? Could you email me and explain how you are doing it? Thanks Elaine

Hi Sharon what a great card love this image with what you have done with it and taken it to the next step as well as the paper piecing. I know what you mean about showing off your design papers. There are just so many sketches out there that have heaps of layers and cover up our wonderful papers sometimes I feel I should use a plain paper and just emboss it and it seems like a waste as it's all covered up.
Take care and have a great week.
