To Bee Or Not To Be

It's Saturday morning and that means it's time to showcase Sugar Creek Hollow digital stamps!  I've been excited all week to show off this card that uses one of my favorite SCH digis, the Bee Tile.  Isn't that an incredible digi - soooo vintage which is what SCH digis are all about and the style I love to create on my cards.

We also have a sketch challenge going on today with the SCH design team on the Sugar Creek Hollow Blog using this sketch which adds even more fun to the day.  Why don't you join in the fun this week and create using this sketch?  You can link your creation to the SCH blog here.

For this card I first printed out the Sugar Creek Hollow Bee Tile image on Papertrey Cream cardstock and colored it using a Dove blender pen and Stampin Up ink pads.

I use some wonderful papers from My Minds Eye that all coordinated together for this card.  While they had the distressed look to them already, I still added some of that along the edges of the image and the DP using Tim Holtz "Weathered Wood" distress ink.  This helped define the edges of the various layers/panels on this layout but I also love the look this provided and how it tied back to the original look of the DP.  After that a few embellishments to top it off alonbg with a ton of glitter (who doesn't love glitter) and this is the result!

Take a look at all the other beautiful creations today from the Sugar Creek Hollow design team - you'll find their links on my left sidebar.  Prepare to be inspired today!

Thanks for stopping by today!

Hi Sharon, hope you are well today. First of all, I love that you provide extra photos because the close up on that bee is AMAZING. I love seeing all the detail that you added, the shimmer and the pearls. Your color combination is like no other that has ever been used on this card. Thank you so much for giving us your best. Many blessings to you my friend....Tracy
