Happy Thursday folks! Today, I'm featuring a card using a By LORi Designs image from the Puddle Jumpers collection - her name is Darla. Darla arrived at By LORi Designs on March 4 and I think she's one of the cutest in the new release. Who can resist her curly locks!
Today is also the start of a new challenge at By LORi Designs. This week's color lineup is So Saffron, Tempting Turquoise, Pacific Point and White. Create a card using a BLD image and these colors and play along with us!
Little Darla was colored with Copics in the challenge colors. A fun combination of October Afternoon papers from the Thrift Shoppe and Material Girl collections were used. The card design is my own. Pretty simple but it makes for an adorable card in my mind. What's your opinion - let me know by leaving a comment!
And just a few more words on some changes LORi Boyd has incorporated that provide more opportunities for you to win BLD images. From now on, instead of having a winner each week, we will have a monthly post of all the winning cards and each designer will win a $3 stamp of their choice (or a $3 credit if you'd rather). Yes, you have the chance to win more than 1 digi...enter in each challenge and every card you enter has the chance to be picked as a winner. Also, at the end of each month LORi will randomly draw from all the submissions for that month and one lucky winner will receive a $ Gift Certificate!
But that's not all....starting March 24, any card (with a By LORi Designs Image only on it) that you submit to any challenge in blogland and WIN...let LORi know you won 1st place at that challenge (you must submit a link to your winning card and the post that your win was announced on), and you will then win a $3 Digi from BLD! So start posting BLD Image cards to all the challenges out there and let LORi know when you win!!
Now hop on over to the By LORi Designs challenge blog and take a look at the rest of the Design Team inspiration - you'll absolutely love what you see there!

Vintage Shoe & MMSC97
Back again for a second post today, this time featuring a Doodle Pantry image called "Fancy Shoe" that was released earlier this month. I do love creating in vintage style and this lovely image fits right in with that. You can find it in the Doodle Pantry store HERE.
The image was colored with Copics and distressed with Tea Dye distress ink from Tim Holtz. The papers are Crate Paper's "Emma's Shoppe" collection. I backed the scallop punched borders with ivory satin ribbon using ScorTape by scrunching and gathering the ribbon onto it down the length of each side. Then I sewed it down which helped settle the bulk and helped secure it.
You can see that the image itself was embellished with lots of "real" pearls for dimension and enhancement of the image. I imagine that real couture shoes of the period would have probably had real pearls so I thought it would add some authenticity to it too! A few other pearl embellishments and some Prima flowers finish it off. Let me know what you think...
Thanks for stopping by!
And what's even better is the Midnight Madness sketch challenge this week (MMSC97) fit this image perfectly so I used the sketch for the card design. I chose the "fancy" version of the sketch.
Edited to add: I won the Gold Star award for this card at Midnight Madness! Awesome!

Sweet Sketch Wednesday with StampFairy
Hi everyone! Today is Wednesday and time for another Sweet Sketch Wednesday challenge! I've been so excited to show you my card today - its a fun sketch and a new StampFairy image and that is just a really good combination!
StampFairy is our sponsor this week at Sweet Sketch Wednesday. The Grand Prize winner of the challenge will receive 4 free StampFairy images of their choice! Now who wouldn't want that? Thanks Gerda for your generous StampFairy sponsorship this week!
Here's the fabulous sketch to follow this week. It's another fun layered design that works well with large and small prints and textures. I do hope you'll give it try : )
I'm using a newly released StampFairy image on my card called Lilly Playing. The collection features Lilly playing with and on a variety of different toys but this one is my favorite. Little Lilly is colored with Copics, including the polka-dots I added by hand. I cut out the image and then mounted it on the oval panel that was colored with the same background color as the image. What results is the appearance that she is "swinging" off the card - nice dimension and perspective. The papers are new to my stash from the Jillibean Soup "Blossom Soup" collection.
And then for the finishing touch, another handmade flower that fits right in because it's made from the same designer papers.
It is such a wonderful delight to see all the entries we get in response to our sketch challenges each week. We appreciate the support you show for Sweet Sketch Wednesday and enjoy seeing all the amazing works of art you create. Please join us this week!

Do Something FUN Today!
Just a quick post today with a card made for a co-worker celebrating his birthday today. He's an avid outdoorsman that enjoys fishing the Detroit River in the summer days. I think he'll enjoy his card.
The image is StampFairy from the "Herb Summer 1" collection. You can find him at this link to the StampFairy Shop. The sentiment is from Doodle Pantry - part of the Caterpillar Swing collection released earlier this month. I thought the sentiment was perfect for this special birthday card.
Herb was colored with Copics. I digitally paper pieced the water in the image with Sheri K Designs digital paper. All the other papers are also from Sheri K Designs "Brown and Aqua Paper Pack", a set of 10 coordinating digital papers.
And while you're here and focused on StampFairy, another adorable Easter collection featuring the new character Patsy was released yesterday along with some background scenery images that work with just about all the StampFairy character digis - I just have to share these terrific new releases....
You can find them at this link to the StampFairy Shop.

Playing with Lilly at StampFairy!
Happy Monday everyone! It's the start of a new week, the end of a month and a beginning of a new challenge at StampFairy!
The StampFairy challenge this week is to draw your inspiration for a card or paper project from this photo. You can see that the elements with the strongest influence from the inspiration to my card is the yellow polka dots and the green ric-rac.
I'm also using a new image just released at StampFairy called Lilly Playing 4. It's part of a whole collection showing Lilly doing what kids do best and that is play! I digitally paper-pieced her dress, shoes and balloon. The polka dot paper is from StampFairy, but I recolored it to yellow in my photoshop software.
Here are the rest of the "Lilly Playing" collection. Note that the balloons are freebies!
I sure hope you join us in the challenge. Just use a StampFairy image and draw your colors, patterns and/or design elements from the inspiration photo. We'd love to see what you can create. If you need more inspiration, take a look at the awesome cards made by the design team at StampFairyWorld and the StampFairy Challenge blog.

Blog Candy Winner and SCH Challenge
Happy Saturday! After fighting a violent stomach flu over the past 18 hours, I'm just now able to sit with my head up and get this post done - then I'm going back to bed :( So I apologize for those of you anxious to hear about the blog candy and those who are following Sugar Creek Hollow for the new challenge this week. So let's get started with announcing the blog candy winner.
Here's the package and a bit about how the drawing was done. I listed by date and time those who made comments on my blog. For those that also were new followers, I listed those names after (and in order) the commenter list. So those that followed who got a second entry were not side by side, rather spread out. That came up to 47 total and the winner, selected by random. org is:

Congratulations Heather! Please send me an email with your mailing address to inklinedtostamp@gmail.com so I can get your prize to you. I'd like to thank all my new followers and all of you that left such lovely comments on my blog - it is so appreciated and I hope you find enough inspiration here that you enjoy returning time and time again.
Now on to the new challenge at Sugar Creek Hollow.... This week we're calling for stitching on your cards. So get out your sewing machines and give it go. I love stitching on a card - it's often a perfect finishing touch for a card and it's a true sign that the card was lovingly handmade. I do hope you'll join us at Sugar Creek Hollow for this challenge.
And we're also having a naming contest for this new image soon to be offered at Sugar Creek Hollow. We're asking for your thoughts on names and if your entry is drawn, you'll receive this image free. See the Sugar Creek Hollow challenge blog for details.
My card this week uses the newly released bunny image that you can find here at Sugar Creek Hollow Shoppe. She was colored with Copics including the polka dots on her dress. I've used papers from Cosmo Cricket "Upcycle" collection. I followed a sketch (below) from Cute Card Thursday and am entering this card in their challenge this week too.

Ella Umbrella - By LORi Designs
It's time for another By LORi Designs color challenge and this week the colors are just plain FUN! Who could be down about the rain with colors like this surrounding you?!
Officially the colors in the challenge this week, BLDC10, are Peach Parfait, Poppy Parade, Regal Rose and Pear Pizzazz.
The image I've used is Ella Umbrella - she's part of the new Puddle Jumper images at By LORi Designs that were released just recently. I think this is one of cutest digi stamps and perfect for bright colors like the challenge this week. It was colored with Copics and the papers are from October Afternoon "Modern Homemaker" collection.
The challenge runs through next Wednesday evening and I welcome you to enter a card in the challenge using these colors and an image from By LORi Designs. You just might find yourself a winner of free BLD digi stamps. And please stop by the BLD challenge blog to see the design team inspiration for more ideas on how to use this color combination in creating a card.

Hopping Down the Bunny Trail at SSW!
Hoppy Wednesday everyone! Today is the start of another Sweet Sketch Wednesday challenge and this week we're playing with Meljen's Designs digi stamps with a new twist on our challenge this week. In addition to the sketch we're also challenging you to use bunny images! What a perfect challenge to kick off Spring!
Our sponsor this week is Meljen's Designs - a lovely stamp company owned and illustrated by Melissa Jenkins. She illustrates whimsical digital images inspired by her kids and family. Meljen's Designs has new releases along with a new challenge every Thursday, freebies every Monday and a Guest Designer each month at the Meljen's Designs Blog. The Grand Prize winner of the Sweet Sketch Wednesday challenge this week will receive 4 digi stamps of your choice from Meljen's Designs. Hooray!
And here's the great sketch this week from Arlana. Now this sketch is wonderful in terms of layers - lots of them! I counted nine layers in the card I created, not including the ribbon!
Here you can see those layers a little easier as well as the details of the paper I used. These are digital papers from a scrapbook kit by Zoe Pearn call "So Sweet". I like these soft sweet colors for a Spring card. The image was colored with copics and I cut around the ears on the main image panel to add some interest. It also enabled me to enlarge the image a bit more.
And then to keep with the soft colors and a more professional look, I customized the side embellishments to match the card with Stampin Up's build a brad kit and some distressed scallop circle die cuts made into a flower.
Now it's your turn - create a card using the sketch and a bunny image and enter the Sweet Sketch Wednesday challenge. We love all the entries we're getting and are amazed at the incredible creations submitted to our challenges every week by a loyal following of crafters. I can't wait to see what you do this week! Oh and remember to visit the Sweet Sketch Wednesday blog and see the design team inspiration - and leave a little love for them along the way!

Morning Glory - Doodle Pantry Release!
Welcome back! Today we're showcasing the new release images at Doodle Pantry and introducing a new challenge on the Doodle Pantry blog. I thought this day would never get here - I get so excited for a new release, especially when they are so fun to create with like the new images debuting today.
Here a closeup of the image that was colored with Copics, cut out and mounted on the oval panel. I colored a second set and cut out the larger flower and leaf to give more dimension to the image panel. You can see the dimension a little better in the photo below....
I used designer papers from Echo Park's "For the Record" collection, the beaded oval Nestabilities for the image panel and blue pearls from Recollections. And the card design/layout is the challenge this week for all of you - it's a sketch challenge...
Your choice this week as to which sketch you choose for the Doodle Pantry DPDC10 challenge - simple or fancy. For my card I primarily used the simple sketch but added the pearls embellishments from the fancy sketch because I thought my card just needed a little something more : )
Ok so this darling button says it all - come join us in this sketch challenge! You have until April 4th to enter a card or paper project using the sketch. And please visit the Doodle Pantry blog where you can see all the wonderful cards that the design team created to get you inspired.
